The only and BEST solution for a wii battery! Jan 17, 2010
By Tim Harnisch Wii Controller Battery (2-Pack) I highly recommend these batters and chargers. You get 2 batters with charger cables for 20 bucks and they are lithium ion so they weigh almost nothing, I can barely notice a weight difference between them and just the regular plastic covers. They also have a huge charge life, I've heard 10-12 hours straight on a single charge, I can't give my charge life cause we are still playing on the initial out of the box charge!! They charge off a USB cable you can either plug into your wii or computer while its on, or invest in a ac USB adapter so you can just plug them in the wall. We have one set of these and have played a couple times on them still on the initial charge out of the box. We are definitely ordering a second set of these if not 2 for super long Wii parties!
Here's my pluses summed up for these: 1) Lithium Ion (this is the latest and the future for batteries) 2) Very lightweight 3) Long playtime on a single charge 4) Can be recharge anytime, as opposed to other batteries which should be fully drained before recharging or it slowly kills the battery 5) Can be charged while on the remote or by itself( so you can still be playing with another battery
Cons: 1) If you like sleeves on your remotes, you can't get to the plug to charge it (my simple solution, cut a small hole in the sleeve giving you access to the charging plug) 2) Charging cord is USB meaning plug it into your computer or Wii while its turned on or my solution is buy a AC USB adapter so you can plug them into the wall, heres some adapters on amazon White USB Wall AC Charger for Zune/Sansa/Zen/iPodfor single orLenmar ACUSB4 AC Travel Adapter for up to 4 USB Powered Devices (Black)plug in all 4 remotes at once
I hope that helps your decision on these. We have a diferent set of batteries with a charger stand, and the batteries don't last long at all, you have to take the wrist straps off even just to get them to sit in to charge.
We HIGHLY recommend these, a must have for your Wii!

GREAT BATTERIES, GREAT PRICE! Oct 07, 2009
By Gus C. Charges quickly in less than 4 hours. Lithium polymer makes it convenient to charge whenever you want without need to drain battery first (as with NiMH batteries). Lasts longer than 10 hours on one charge. No problems with remotes or wireless connection. Only two hassles - which are small in comparison to other rechargeable batteries out there - console needs to be on (it doesn't charge in standby as it says) and you have to remove the skin to recharge. Still, for the price and in comparison to other products, I think this is the best out there, and definitely better than NiMH ones I've tried.

Good way to save batteries Apr 02, 2010
By Essie412 Overall, I liked this product a lot. The rechargeable battery clips in easily and replaces the back cover of the remote, and the cables plug directly into the rechargeable battery case. Here's a summary of some pros and cons:
Pros: -Battery power lasts a long time (more than a whole day of playing) -Cables plug directly into Wii and remote -Recharges while Wii is on -Save money on disposable batteries -Worth the price
Cons: -My Wii only has two USB ports, so you could only recharge two remotes at a time (I haven't tried using other USB ports for charging, like a computer, however) -The Wii menu that tells you how much power in the remote is left always says it's full of power, so there is no warning when the power is low and your remote will just die

best rechargable wiimote betteries I've owend Jun 13, 2010

"Crank"
I concurently own a pair NiCad batteries that I bought from BB&B that uses a charging station--these suck. They started out great but 2 months later one of them lasts less than an hour and both lose charge quickly even when you aren't using them.
Now onto the one that is being sold here.
So far I really like these from Amazon since I can charge the batteries without having to use my controller with it (I've been using my computer to charge them). I also cut a small hole in my wii mote's cover so don't have to remove the cover everytime I charge like I had to do for the docking station type since those need the grooves on the sides of the wii mote to be held in place.
I read some of the other reviews and in my experience there was no difficulty in removing the batteries (you don't need to remove them to sync you will there is a small hole that you can stick a toothpick or w/e through to push the sync button.)
I did play and beat Super Mario Galaxy 2 (just 1 more star to go!) with these batteries and was impressed with the battery life, but didn't actually mark how long they lasted-- I believe even a hard core gamer should be satisfied.
I'll update with how long they last the next time I play a game that requires the full function of the Wii mote (rumble, nunchuck, pointer, and motion controls).

Probably the best battery option in its class. Jan 23, 2012
By S. Chung Product suggests you charge the batteries initially for 20 hours. After a full charge the battery lasted through an entire day of game play before finally cutting out. The only drawback was that the battery indicator in the Wii still reads full when this happens, so there is little warning. A small sacrifice. I also followed recommendations from other owners by punching a hole in the back of the Silicone Cover (used a hole puncher)to gain easy access to the mini-USB port for charging.
I do NOT, however, recommend charging this with the USB ports on the Wii (as it requires the Wii power to remain ON). Instead, I would suggest you use some other USB charging device. I used a four port charger I also bought on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/4-USB-Port-Ac-Charger/dp/B0036VO7OK), which I also highly recommend (Provides ample amperage for most, if not all, smartphones and tablets).
When charging it is difficult to tell when the charge is done (as the green LED doesn't shut off when it is fully charged). Instead, I used to a Kill-A-Watt to see when the batteries stopped drawing power. If true, it doesn't take long at all for these batteries to be fully charged (from my estimates, about an hour or less for full charge from empty using the charger I listed above). Unfortunately this part is hard to estimate as all AC to DC USB chargers vary. "Most" are of the cheapy 500 mA variety. The better ones are rated 1A and above, which include most of the ones available for iPhones and Android chargers.
I recommend a device like this over an induction charger, as it seems to 1) Waste less power [doesn't heat up as much] 2) Charges faster 3) Lithium Ion lasts a LOT longer and HOLDS the charge longer. The only drawback is that you have to cut through the silicone Jacket of the Wiimote if you don't want to constantly remove it.
