Best Value For Wii Arcade Controllers Jan 21, 2010
By Robert Hlozek Intec's Wii Arcade Stick is probably the best value you can find for Wii arcade controllers. This controller is large, offers a full 8 buttons, rapid fire option, non-sticking joystick, and a comfortable hand rest for the gamer's right hand under the buttons.
It's not perfect. There are a few minor gripes I have with it. The joystick is a little looser than I prefer, though in time I'll adjust to it. I would have also liked it to be a little bigger to accomodate my left hand a little bit more. My palm tends to rest on the bottom left corner and that can hurt if I'm not careful. And the joystick is kind of noisy. Very loud clicking when you play. Again, these are pretty minor complaints in the grand scheme of things and ultimately it still does exactly what it is supposed to.
Compared to its competitors it offers virtually all of the features and design functionality that higher priced arcade joysticks for $39.99. There are also some cheaper models, at the $30 range, but you'll likely give up some of the buttons or wind up with an unresponsive joystick.

Better than expected Feb 20, 2010

I bought this only to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (and hopefully other future good 2D fighting games). The Wii Remote can only support simple Controls (simple button to input special moves), which I didn't like. I then bought the Classic Controller but it was too small and I didn't like the look and feel of it. So given that the official stick is $80, I decided to give this joystick a try.
I was very happy with the purchase. First I didn't realize this plugs directly into the Wii remote which means I can play wirelessly instead of siting close to the Wii constrained but the wire as in the case of GameCube controller--this alone just worth the purchase. Second the stick is larger/heavier than I anticipated (maybe because it was so inexpensive), the buttons are decent size and the joystick seems to operate effectively. I don't know if this is durable but so far I am very happy with this purchase. Note that I also have a PS3 Street Fighter official stick and obviously this cannot compare with it, but for the price and for my purpose (of playing 1 game), this $25 joystick is worth the purchase.

Not responsive Dec 04, 2010
By Troy G. Johnson I purchased this joystick to play classic games, like PacMan. It really does not work. The joystick is not very responsive. I do not recommend.

B+ Arcade Stick Jun 20, 2011
By Otaku Guru I am not new to arcade sticks. I have a monster x-arcade tank stick, a hori tekken 6 arcade stick, and a mayflash arcade stick. This is definitely the bottom of the arcade sticks that I own, but it is not bad. The stick itself is very loose. It has a lot of give in the middle and it has a loud click which I don't mind. The buttons are cheaper plastic buttons. However, those are about the only negatives. The wrist pad is comfortable. I was playing mario as well as Capcom vs T..... and I was able to hit the right moves 9/10 times as ryu. Even with the best stick I mess up a move as ryu at about that rate. I never felt like it was not detecting a movement or button press. This is definitely a cheap product and the quality is probably a b-. However it works very good. If you are ok with plastic buttons, a plastic arcade stick, and it is clicky then it is a-ok. It worked great in all the games that support it. Capcom vs T, Guilty Gear, and Super Street Fighter 2. Is there a better stick, yes. However, does it mess up, not really. Cheap, but very functional. Considering how many fighter games I have for the wii and the responsiveness I am happy with the stick. The main reason I got it is for Capcom vs T and Guilty Gear. Plus I was reading between the lines. The WiiU that is coming out next year will support wii controls in the future. Games like Tekken are coming out for the wiiu and fighting games are usually best on a fight stick. This should work with the new tekken and that alone helped pushed for this purchase. Later on, wiiu arcade sticks will probably be $40 plus. However, due to backwards compatibility with wii controllers this will probably work with wiiu fighting games. Good luck finding a functional arcade stick for an hd console for under $40. This I hope will solve it. I did get this for $15 and free shipping on ebay and it is well worth that price.
