Blast Saber not compatible with Wii remotes Sep 13, 2009
By da This is a well made product but it doesn't work well with the Wii remotes. When the sabers are on the remotes it is very hard to play the Star Wars game. It is hard to do a lot of the actions and movements when the sabers are on the remote. While they can still be played with as light sabers, they do not work for the purpose intended.

Not all its cracked up to be Dec 27, 2009
By Scott D. Mognet When I ordered these I thought they would be used to control the motions in the game. However for the leggo starwars game all motions are controlled via the nunchuck. I'm not sure how they interact with the other star wars game. But for the leggo starwars save your money.

We thought you could use it like a real lightsaber, but it basically is just a decoration for your Wii remote.

This was intended as a Christmas gift. I shopped the web and my wife scoured (literally) the stores. She found it before my online purchased arrived. So I returned this. I will say that the ones we (my four year old son and I) used was not what I expected. We play more with out it (I do) and my son swings it around and gets frustrated.

I got these for my husband for Christmas to go with the Star Wars Light Sabre Duels game. He likes them, but actually prefers to play without them simply because it's easier to manuever the small Wii-mote alone without the sabres attached. I see him making lots of fine, quick, jerky movements that are difficult to pull off with a long sabre. This is not a reflection on the sabres themselves. They work pretty well. You can navigate menus with the sabre on the Wii-mote, although the aim seems a little "off". So overall, they are fine, but for the jerkiness required to kick butt in the game, it's easier to play without the sabre. However, if you just wanna have fun taking swings at your buddies (or spouse) they are fine.
