Rubbish. Just... Rubbish :( Jun 20, 2009
By Richard Shellehamer As the other reviews have stated, and as I should have read before ordering this item (lesson learned, I suppose) the swords actively block the Wiimote sensor, making any and all games unplayable while using this product. To be perfectly frank, I'm somewhat offended that Amazon even sells this, especially in a "combo pack" with Twilight Princess, which is the game I bought this for. I figured my daughter (who is a total tomboy at eight years old) would love to have a sword in her hand while playing Zelda. She did think it was cool, until she couldn't play the game. At all!
Please, do not make the mistake I did by buying this product. It is pure, unadulterated rubbish!

Pass on this Mar 21, 2009

I just wanted to concur with the previous review. This is a fairly useless product.
The sensor on the Wii mote is blocked when inserted into the swords, thus, cannot be read by the sensor bar on the Wii. Essentially, you can do nothing.
Also, the swords and the shield aren't exactly contoured to the Wii mote and nunchuck, and will scrape the controllers when inserted/removed.
Note that this is not a Wii licensed product. The box actually says "Wu," ostensibly to avoid legal problems.
In the end, a great concept executed terribly.

Cool, But Not. Feb 11, 2009
By Kimberly Evans I bought this thinking it would work for the Wii to play Twilight Princess, but the signal cannot pass from the WiiMote to the sensor bar because the foam of the sword blocks it making this a useless item.

Wii Combat Pack Feb 16, 2010
By Daniel E. Barfield
"Paladin Quest"
While my son truly loves the game that we bought this Combat Pack for, the remotes don't work with these sword props. The shield is fine, but the foam blades are set so that they cover the remote's infrared transmitter lenses. We're disappointed that he can't use them now that I have already purchased them. My fault I let him throw away the packaging so I can't return them, but still...it's a poor design. The game rocks, though.
