I have used the Wii Fit Radar Real Balance as a stand alone, with the Wii controller installed, and with the Wii Balance Board my opinion is fantastic. It has turned Wii Wakeboarding, Wii resort, into a much better game, can't imagine holding the controller for the game. Also great for all the balance activities of Wii Fit plus. The fulcrum is small, so the board is very reactive, this can be tempered by placing it on a rug, or thick padding. With a little ingenuity it can be turned into a step for other exercises.

This is a stand you put under your wii fit board to add extra wobble fun so your wii fit isn't always stationary.
It is plastic with a rubber ball in the middle. It's not a total smooth ball, but has facets like to feel more like a control stick, it's easier to stay balanced in the middle, or to the 4 sides & 4 corners, hitting the edges of the stand. I'm not saying it's too easy, but that it's not as difficult as a smooth ball.
What's a great idea/option is all the balance games that use the controller, you can put into the stand to use your feet/body on those as well. Just lift off the rubber flap in the center & stick in the remote.
The wii fit never slides off, the feet of the wii board stay securely in the corners. It's an easy lift on/off.
There are no extra peices to worry about.

I COMPARED THIS ITEM WITH THE FRIIBOARD.
I FOUND THE FRIIBOARD MUCH EASIER TO USE THAN THE WII FIT RADAR REAL BALANCE.
THE FRIIBOARD WAS SIMPLE TO USE,EASY TO SET UP.
i ALSO GAVE ONE TO MY FAMILY AS A GIFT AND THEY LOVE IT.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THE FRIIBOARD OVER THE WII FIT RADAR REAL BALANCE.
