Usless Aug 10, 2010

There's only one thing I can say about these things beyond useless. These things bother the Wii remote to the point where the game (in this case Wii fit plus) won't register your moves. I was throwing punches as usual on the rhythm boxing. OMG WTH, MAN!?! It didn't register the punches worth crap. I am not amused by this in the least. Sorry guys, but unless you like throwing your money out the door, don't buy these. They make the games impossible to play and ultimately frustrating.

Jab For The Count May 16, 2010

There is no question that there aren't really many boxing games for the Nintendo Wii to compete with the other systems like the PS3 and Xbox 360. But, there have been a few accessories that have been made that really do feel like you are boxing against a strong foe. That definitely shows well with the Wii Weighted Gloves which handle mostly well from CTA, but they definitely are strong if you are a Wii gamer whom owns Punch Out!!! or is still loving the original Wii Sports that comes with the Wii, than you'll love the Wii weighted gloves. Otherwise, if you're really looking for a better accessory, there just aren't that many nor are there many great Wii boxing titles available. If there were more, than I would recommend this as a great buy for the Wii.

wii weighted boxing gloves Aug 23, 2010
By Susan Herman If you want these just for the added weight they are fine. Don't bother putting the controls in them, they slide around way too much so be worth using. I am very disappointed in them, not as advertised at all.

Makes a great workout Aug 03, 2010
By Lori G I bought these to use with the cardio boxing on Sports Active More Workouts. I really enjoyed the boxing but just didn't feel I was getting enough out of it as is. After researching and reading the reviews on the different gloves out there these seemed to best fit the bill. With most of the others you either slid the remote into a slit in the gloves and blocked the sensor, or it sat too far back on the hand and your knuckles got in the way, either way it seemed a lot of the reviews mentioned issues with the sensor detecting moves.
That is not an issue with these at all. The gloves are very comfortable and do not constrict your hands or the sensors at all. I've had no issues at all with it detecting my moves. To wear you slide your thumb into the provided hole, and there are 2 straps to slide your fingers under (2 fingers under each) then you wrap each side around your wrist and close with Velcro, so they adjust to any size hand. Having full use of your hands also allows you to hold the numchuck if you need for some of the games that require you access the joystick for some movements.
I find that just wearing the gloves instead of having to hold the remotes has me getting into it more and am definitely throwing better punches and getting a much better workout. The next bonus for workout purposes is the little bit of weight added to these gloves. After using these gloves the first time I could definitely feel the difference.
Again comparing to the others on the market, even the biggest bulkiest of them were only about 1/2 the weight of these, not to mention you lost use of you hands while wearing those big bulky gloves.
The only real issue with these are they are a little bit of a production getting the remotes in, and then the gloves on that I don't use them when the boxing comes up for 1 game as part of the 6 weeks challenge, but that's a small thing. I wanted these because I had put together my own workout by stringing together several of the boxing games and am so glad I got them. With these gloves I feel that I'm getting a great workout.
